A Day In The Life

As our Trading Risk and Ops Analyst, your days will be dynamic and diverse. Here’s a glimpse:

You start your morning by reviewing customer transactions, ensuring a seamless experience. This is a cornerstone of the role requiring speed, accuracy and attention to detail. During your review, you have an idea for a feature you’d like to help streamline the process so you write up a user story to share with the dev team. You then deep dive into risk analytics, identifying patterns and trends and sharing your findings with the team.

Mid morning you jump on a call with a product manager to discuss key functionality and features their team is working on. It’s all intended to improve the core system you work with. You are a key stakeholder on the project and you’re constantly helping optimise the systems, processes and workflows.

After taking some time away from the screen over lunch, you roll up your sleeves and focus on a couple of key customer investigations. You’re coordinating communications across various third party providers and internal stakeholders, safeguarding the platform’s integrity and managing risk. You give a succinct written update to team mates, based all over the globe - including leadership, product managers, customer support agents and account managers about what you’ve learned and what needs to happen next.

Finally, you wrap up your day by reviewing the draft plan for an upcoming marketing campaign, ensuring risks are mitigated and the operational side is feasible, giving your feedback to the marketing team in a 10 minute stand-up.

To succeed in this role, you’ll need:

• Strong analytical skills and a detail-oriented mindset.
• A head for problem solving and pattern recognition which are important for investigating potential anomalies and unforeseen scenarios.
• A familiarity with digital transactions.
• Excellent command of English, both verbal and written, essential for effective communication across both internal and external parties based worldwide.
• A proactive, driven personality, capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment.
• The ability to work independently, prioritising tasks effectively and communicating seamlessly across time zones.

It’d be great — but not necessary — if you also had:

• Experience in financial transaction processing, risk analysis, or related fields.
• Proficiency in business intelligence tools and data management systems.
• Previous experience in fraud detection and investigation.
• Familiarity with content management systems.
• A passion for sports,gaming or eSports.

You will be responsible for:

• Leveraging business intelligence and analytics to maximise business value and minimise risk.
• Leading efforts in fraud detection, undertaking investigations and driving solutions or fixes as needed.
• Ensuring efficient and secure processing of withdrawal transactions.
• Conducting in-depth risk analysis to guide business decisions.
• Managing and cultivating relationships with third-party providers.
• Overseeing data and content management to maintain platform integrity and relevance.
• Improving and automating internal systems and processes in partnership with product and engineering.
