Hong Kong location (preferred) or remote
We’re looking for someone who absolutely loves sports.
If someone told you it was your job to wake up every morning, read up on everything from niche MMA to Indian cricket, write about those topics for a mix of social media posts, long-form explainers, and marketing emails, and then think ahead and build out a strategy around some mega event six months away, you would pinch yourself.
That’s it. That’s the job.
Chaos Theory sits at the cutting edge of sports, entertainment, and cryptocurrency, and we are growing rapidly on all fronts. In this role, you’ll be able to work on projects large and small and say, “I’m learning new things every day, and my work is helping us grow in ways most companies can only dream of.”
Let’s make it happen together.
You begin the day by checking in on your latest NBA post on Reddit. It gained decent traction, but didn’t start as much of a conversation as you expected. You quickly brainstorm ways to optimize the next one, deciding to add a clearer call to action. You update the content calendar and add a note to track results again later in the week.
Next, the partnerships team briefs you on an upcoming sports event sponsorship. You and your manager have a quick session on an overarching content strategy across the blog, social media, emails, and even some influencer partnerships. You organize the tasks via an internal ticketing system, requesting design assets, and setting draft deadlines to ensure everything is ready well before launch.
After lunch, you sit down with the product team to review the latest changes to the site they’re building for new users. The meeting is valuable both ways. You are a key provider of early feedback from a sports perspective, and their briefing gives you a lot to think about for messaging new features to potential customers. You immediately draft a press release about the changes, and send it to your editor for review. It’s exciting to think the release could be read by millions of sports fans within weeks.
By the afternoon, there’s an urgent request from the customer support team to draft a blog post responding to a frequently asked question about a sport you’ve been covering. You push some lower priority work aside to quickly file the draft and get it online.
You're juggling sports content across many different touchpoints, but you're in control. Everyone wins.
